Simon Kranz is a passionate educator and strives to push the boundaries in pedagogical practice and cognitive development. A self-motivated professional, Simon has an interest in change initiatives and the use of technology to improve and deliver educational outcomes. Education is the most valuable asset a nation can have and each and every student and adult should have the right to free, world-class education and educators. Simon incorporates and embraces the use of functional data to enhance educational practices and finds constructive feedback invaluable tothe ongoing development as a teaching professional.
Simon Kranz successfully completed the Central Queenslands Aspiring Leaders Program under the guidance of Yvana Jones. Simon Kranz in conjunction with other colleagues created and implemented WASUP (Welfare And Social Unity Program) which was a resounding success. Additionally, Simon Kranz oversaw the implementation of a Study Club to help improve student learning outcomes and social wellbeing.
Simon Kranz continues to master and improve his skills as a classroom teacher, while endeavouring to explore his options in regards to further development and subsequent appointment to challenging new roles involved with leadership and management.

I commenced my career as a classroom teacher in 2009. My major teaching area is Legal Studies and my minor is Business Communication Technologies. I have also branched out into the delivery and development of Vocational Education and Training subjects, primarily focusing on Business Certificates and some I.T certificates.
At the end of 2010 I applied for the position of Year 9 Manager. I was awarded the position, with the role starting in 2011. I manage and monitor the health, safety, behaviour and educational well being of 121 students, as well as working co-operatively with five Pastoral Care teachers and administration leaders.
Involvement in the development and incorporation of new and emerging technologies into the classroom and school has been ongoing, with a Digital Pedagogical Licence nearly attained.
Further leadership development is planned for the next 12 months in preparation for HOD, HOSE and HOCs positions.
